Overview

One part promotonal video, one part educational video combined into a holistic look at Piaget’s Polo Skeleton watch.

The Client

Working with Piaget, Monochrome approached us with a brand new project in mind. As always, we were more than happy to oblige.

The Location

The product footage was shot in our custom-built studio in Zurich, while the interviews were filmed at Piaget's headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Timing

The entire project was completed in October, 2021. Thanks to the great cooperation between Monochrome and Piaget, the project was over in a heartbeat.

About the Brand

Here’s a small pop quiz; Which watchmaker is known for their drive to create some of the thinnest, yet meticulously detailed and often even skeletonized movements? Every watch lover knows the answer, which only shows how successful Piaget really is.

The Piaget Polo was already extremely popular, but as watchmakers who define themselves by pushing boundaries, Piaget decided to thrust themselves even further and created an all-new look for their famous sports luxury watch.

About the Brand

A punchy backing track with a modern cut goes hand-in-hand with the modernized design of Piaget's timeless classic.

In order to bring the vision to fruition, the Polo Skeleton required a completely new case redesign, bringing the total thickness to an astounding 6.5 mm, which was achieved partially due to the off-centre micro rotor.

The watch further offers color customizations and interchangeable straps, both of which are extremely beneficial to the diversity of shots and dynamic of the video itself. In one of the last steps of the production, or rather, post-production process, we made sure to utilize this benefit with a carefully balanced color grade.
